Doing original research in the social sciences often requires using some type of data collection tool i.e. a questionnaire, a survey, a scale, a battery, an index, etc. This page identifies some of the resources available to you through HSL and on the internet to help you locate tests and measurements from the wide variety available.

FAQ/Finding Information about Psychological Tests
The American Psychological Association's FAQ.

Health Surveys From CDC Wonder, contains information regarding many of the national surveys conducted by the CDC, including the survey instruments.

National Quality Measures Clearinghouse NQMC, sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is a public repository for evidence-based quality measures and measure sets.

Quality of Life Instruments Database QOLID provides basic information at no charge, while complete instrument information is by subscription.

RAND Health Surveys Includes full text of some publicly available tests.
