Clinical Skills Course

Welcome to the New York Medical College Clinical Skills website. The course has been redesigned this year to provide you with a variety of learning opportunities to master essential communication and physical diagnosis skills. The resources described and linked here should be used to supplement the assigned readings and videos as you prepare for your small group and preceptor sessions.

Online Physical Exam Teaching Assistant
Created by the University of Florida College of Medicine, this site hosts several videos pertaining to physical examinations.

University of Virginia Health Systems
Allows the ability to download videos ( 5 to 17 minutes in length) on exams covering: vital signs, abdomen, extremities, lower extremities, shoulder, HEENT, cardiac, ophthalmoscopic, neurologic, and chest.  Includes commentary by family medicine faculty conducting the exams.

The Screening Room Physical Examination - Loyola University
Provides still photos, method of exam, abnormal findings, necessary knowledge base to conduct exam, and self examination questions or cases.
