  Basic Search
  Enter search terms into the two available search boxes
  If both boxes are used select the appropriate Boolean operator connecting the terms (AND, OR, AND NOT)
  Select the field you wish to search:
   > Activate the dropdowns next to the search boxes to select the field you wish to search (default fields are for: article title, abstracts, and keywords)
  Select limits, if you wish, for: Date Range, Document Type, and Subject Area  
  Click on “Search”
   
  Advanced Search
  In the Advanced Search, you can enter a query directly in the text box. Use command line searching with Boolean operators (AND, OR, AND NOT).
     Example:
   > (lyme disease OR borrelia burgdorferi) AND vaccine
   > In the above search, since no fields were specified, all fields will be searched for either the term lyme disease or the term borrelia burgdorferi, and for the term vaccine
  Field Searching
  Field Searching can be incorporated as well into the query (a list of fields is available in Scopus)
     Example:
  > (TITLE (lyme disease) OR TITLE (borrelia burgdorferi)) AND TITLE-ABS-KEY (vaccine)
  > In the above search the title field is searched for either the term lyme disease or the term borrelia burgdorferi; and the title, abstract or key words fields are searched for vaccine.
  Year range can be searched for using the operators:
  > BEF –Before
  > Aft – After
  > IS – Is equal to
     Example:
   > (TITLE (lyme disease) OR TITLE (borrelia burgdorferi)) AND TITLE-ABS-KEY (vaccine) AND PUBYEAR AFT 1999
   
  Author Search
  This search option is only for finding articles by a particular author.
  In the Last Name search box type in the author’s last name. Entering an author’s initials or first name in the Initials or First Name search box is optional.
  If only the last name is entered, and a search executed, a list of all the spelling variations that matched the author’s last name will be presented along with the number of documents attributed to each.
  To review the documents for any one or more of the authors, select the particular author.
  Document Citation Overview
  An author (or group of authors) documents can be displayed along with the number of times they are cited in a specified period of time.
